- Rocky River Camping Area
Rocky River Camping Area is located in Flinders Chase National Park. You can enjoy nature walk or scenic drive in the area. There are many facilities like toilets, hot showers, electric barbeque, drinking water and picnic table. This area is a little busy during peak season and requires advance booking.
- American River Camping Area
American River Camping Area is located in Kangaroo Island Council Reserves. This amazing campground is owned by council. Enjoy waterfront sightseeing and birdlife. You can go fishing, canoeing, boating and walking on this site which has facilities like hot shower, bbq, power connection and a lot more. Also, you can bring your dog along.
- D’Estrees Bay Camping Area
D’Estrees Bay Camping Area is located in Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park. This is an amazing beachside camping area at the Island’s shore featuring reefs, shipwrecks and craggy headlands. You can also enjoy fishing and some wild surf.
- Vivonne Bay Camping Area
Vivonne Bay Camping Area is located in Kangaroo Island Council Reserve. This secluded site offers amazing views and many fun activities. You can enjoy canoeing, fishing and swimming. Beyond lies the beautiful beach to explore and if you are going there from may to october you can take some time for whale watching.
- West Bay Camping Area
West Bay Camping Area is located in Flinders Chase National Park. This spectacular site is situated on top of the Island’s westernmost inlet and offers great views. Its location makes this site secluded. You can enjoy swimming and fishing in the pristine beaches near the camp.
- Browns Beach Camping Area
Browns Beach Camping Area is located in Kangaroo Island Council Reserves. This campsite allows you to enjoy in open area with no shade and little shelter with views of the ocean. This site is well suited for all ages. This site is well shaded and sheltered with tables, shelter and gas bbq. You can also enjoy beach combing, sheltered swimming, fishing, canoeing, walking and snorkelling.
- Western River Camping Area
Western River Camping Area is located in Council Reserves. This site is an open area with no shade and little shelter. You can enjoy the views of ocean from this site. This site is best suited for campers, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. You can go swimming, fishing or bird watching. They welcome your dog.
- Antechamber Bay West Camping Area
Antechamber Bay West Camping Area is located in Lashmar Conservation Park. This is a dispersed camping area behind the beach. This is a limited camper trailer and caravan site. You can go swimming, walking, fishing and canoeing in the area.
- Antechamber Bay East Camping Area
Antechamber Bay East Camping Area is located in Lashmar Conservation Park. This site has numerous tracks which lead off the access road to bush campsites beside the river with signposted access. You can go swimming, fishing, walking and canoeing in the area.
- Murray Lagoon Camping Area
Murray Lagoon Camping Area is located in Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park. This area is a peaceful place for birdwatching, photography and wildflower enthusiasts. The taste of experience gets even better after winter rains. Other than this, you can take nature walk in the beautiful vicinity of this area.
